I'll stamp all over 'serious combatant' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua
The British boxer is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight-round fight which will be broadcast live on Netflix.
British boxer Anthony Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "break" his opponent as the combatants confronted each other to build hype for the upcoming bout.
Former two time unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth disparity - at Miami's venue on December 19th.
Boxer's Attitude
"I'm going to damage his features and damage his physique. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35 years old, stated.
"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I'm going to genuinely try to hurt him. That's what I want to do."
Civil Exchange
Despite those words, a relaxed Joshua and social media star Paul - usually recognized for his theatrics - shared friendly words and remained civil with each other.
Jake Paul rather targeted former Joshua opponent the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "a joke" after Ngannou declined a fight offer.
Targeting Fury
Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, criticized British opponent Fury - and rejected a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a victory for Paul.
"[Paul] outshines Fury - he showed up," the boxer commented.
"I acknowledge that."
Serious Opponent
Despite saying he intends to damage his opponent, Joshua chose not to talk badly about his opponent's pugilistic talent.
"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he said.
Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has mostly boxed MMA fighters or declining opponents since turning professional.
He was defeated by British fighter Fury in last year.
Financial Success
Nevertheless, the relative newcomer is still one of boxing's largest financial successes, consistently making substantial paydays.
Forecast and Belief
The 28 year old forecast a knockout win in rounds four or five and asserted he would prevent the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly in the works for 2026.
"The next fight will be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul declared.
Size Difference
As Joshua and Paul participated in the traditional confrontation, with their height and weight contrast clearly visible, it drove home just how improbable this complete situation is - and how astonishing it is that the fight is truly happening.
